Men!   Unite!   Be Strong!
No time for girlie men here!

Remind her in a sweet but manly voice that she does not need to over pack those bags you have to hump around the airports and through Customs! Tell her that Ron said she will be arrested for over packing. That way it is my fault not yours. We manly men must stick together or pack a back brace.  To help convince her, many airlines have imposed a 50 pound limit for each bag and you can only have 2 checked bags per person.  Now is the time to start reminding her that she is special and special people do not need 5 dresses and 10 pairs of shoes in Mexico.  So to help her out, here is a short list of things you can recommend that she bring, let her think this is her idea though.   Now if all else fails and she is not buying into your plan, tell her this "Honey be sure to leave room in the luggage for all the stuff your going to buy there and remember Ron saying that 50 pounds is the limit per bag" again it can be my fault!  Good luck men!

OK! What to do if you find a need to seek help while in Mexico, who do you call, who will help you through the maze!
We have several very reliable friends there in the PV area that can and will help you if the need arises.  Now, I am writing this not to alarm you but to simply empower you and give you a comfy feeling of knowing if you need any special help you can find it.  i.e.: one of our renters recently left their back pack containing all their documents on a local bus.  Yes this is true.  One of our friends, Susana, stepped up and took care of them by setting up an appointment with the appropriate agency to replace their passports etc.  Needless to say our renters were happy and their vacation was saved.

So here are some wonderful people to know:

John & Carol Innes  (Our Property Managers/Friends)  Home 329-295-5201 Cell 322-116-9811 Very helpful for local stuff. Fishing, their email address  jinnes@prodigy.net.mx

Susana and Celina Del Toro    (Speaks English)    Cell 322-227-1082   Office 329-298-2204 Can help you with all your documents, real estate inquiries, finding properties to buy and much much more. Some services are fee based which is a real bargain when you really need help.   Major help with language barrier too. More of their info:

Remember that Puerto Vallarta is in the tropics and sometimes there are bugs, be sure to keep counters cleaned off!  We do spray monthly to control them but ants can sense a cookie crumb a block away.  Also remember that our home is on the ocean and thus you will have sea air breezes which are truly wonderful, if you bring any electronics with you be sure to put them in a case or use those zip lock bags for cameras, cookies and chips or anything that you want to keep fresh.  The air is more moist  on the oceanfront than  a block away.

There is WIFI internet service throughout the villa and you may need to disable your WEP setting.  I removed the security keys so that any laptop with wireless card can log on easily so your computer should find the signal easily. If not your external or internal
wireless card has "Enabled" WEP security keys you will need to "Disable" the security keys while you are in Mexico.  This is usually done by clicking "Disable".
Have a computer geek or nerdy friend do this for you or show you how.  It is fairly easy to do!

Keep in mind you are coming to Mexico which is very tropical.  You may experience a power outage during your stay, especially during the time between May to October when the rains and storms hit the area. We can not guarantee or control the weather, power girds or internet connection, but experience has proven that the outage (if any) will be short lived if you experience one.
